Rotary Monthly Themes

The Rotary calendar provides a natural framework for planning weekly meetings.  Programs can also be planned to occur at the same time as special observances held during the 2016-2017 Rotary year.
 

• • July:  No special designation  - New Rotary Year Kick-Off Month
  • August:  Membership and Extension - emphasizing membership development and the creation of new Rotary clubs.
  • September:  Basic Education and Literacy - emphasizing Rotary's ongoing commitment to promoting literacy and numeracy 
  • October:   Economic and Community Development
  • November:  Rotary Foundation - emphasizing our commitment to the important work accomplished by The Rotary Foundation.
  • December:  Disease Prevention and Treatment
  • January:  Vocational Service - emphasizing Rotary's contribution to the second Avenue of service.
  • February:  Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution - emphasizing Rotary's goal of world understanding and peace.
  •      23 Feb. - Rotary's 112th Anniversary 
  • March:  Water and Sanitation
  • April:  Maternal and Child Health Month
  • MAY:  Youth Service - emphasizing Rotary's commitment to youth.
  •     June 10-14- RI Convention at Atlanta, Georgia
  • June:  Rotary Fellowships - emphasizing Rotary's ongoing commitment to various fellowships.
