Governor’s Message

Fellow Rotarians

This will be an extraordinary year.  Many Rotarians from our district as well as Rotarians from around the world have been preparing for Future Vision for the last three years. Now the future is here as exhibited in the New Grants Model. As we embrace the new vision of grants we will have great opportunities to help our communities, neighbors and the world. It is my hope that each club in their own way will be able to learn about and participate in Global Grants and or District Grants.

Because of the tornados in Moore and Shawnee, our district is on the receiving end of the generosity of Rotarians from around the world. Through donations DDF, sharing, district grants, and a possible incoming Global Grant the communities affected in our district are benefitting. 

This year our own Ron Burton will be President of Rotary International. Ron has selected for his theme Engage Rotary Change Lives. Each Rotarian is key to Engaging Rotary in a way that we may Change Lives. We are and have been an exemplary District. In 2013-14 we must strive to reach out to further heights in membership, in support of the Rotary Foundation, and in efforts to change lives for the better.
