Rotary Road Rally Kicks Off Fall Cycling Season

Cap off a great summer season with what is destined to be a fall classic touring event in Norman, showcasing some of the best cycling roads in Central Oklahoma.

Fall is the perfect time for winding down in cooler temperatures and enjoying the changing seasons in the rolling landscapes of east Norman. The Rotary Road Rally is an event with distances for everyone. The 12, 27 and 50-mile routes will pass through the hills of rural Cleveland County just as the first colors of Indian Summer are beginning to emerge.

The Road Rally supports the Norman Rotary Club’s partnership with Norman Public Schools to encourage long-term academic success among elementary school students by giving bicycles away as incentives for excellent attendance. The Rotary Success Cycle program was established because strong attendance is at the foundation of success in the early development of critical skills in reading and math.

So, wrap up a great summer season, and kick off the fall with a ride that promotes learning, cycling and the joy that comes with a child’s first bike.
