Fellow Rotarians:

Greetings! I’m writing to invite you to our District 5770 All Clubs Meeting at the Canadian Valley Technology Center in Chickasha on October 1. The registration fee has not increased over previous years. It remains $20.  Please encourage Rotarians in your club to register soon so we may make plans for lunch. We will finish no later than 3:30 so you may plan to drive home while the sun is up.

As the agenda demonstrates, we have tried to provide a variety of ways to learn more about Rotary and to brag about what your club does well. On  the left column, Click on EVENT LINKS for REGISTRATION and EVENT ATTACHMENTS for agenda and other details.

NOTE: Club Presidents and certain district committee members will meet at 9:30, the first all attendee meeting begins at 10:30—so Rotarians have time to drive to Chickasha, which is pretty close to the geographic center of our district. (Is it Fair to All Concerned?)

We have scheduled a 10:30 meeting for club secretaries to share tips about working with Club Runner and Rotary Club Central.  Members of our District Membership Information and Internet Technology Committee will be on hand to listen and to help solve problems where we can.

Our lunch meeting will bring everyone together for a review of the 2015-16 District 5770 financial statements. We will also hear from our District 5770 Council on Legislation Representative, PDG Glenda Thomas.

After lunch we will break into focused sessions dealing with: membership, our foundation, public relations, Interact, Rotaract, RYLA, and Youth Exchange.  The Rotary Image (public relations) session will feature our Zone Rotary Image coordinator, PDG Lisa Herring.

We encourage you to wear your Rotary gear—polos, t-shirts—anything with Rotary on it. We also encourage you to wear your club name badge (we’ll have stick-on badges for those who forget.) This is a working meeting, so come dressed to meet with other leaders and share ideas. We also encourage you to bring your wifi-enabled laptop or tablet. We have access to a 17-station computer lab, but we’ll use other rooms as well.

Our District Leadership Team is making a considerable effort to make this meeting meaningful. Your attendance will show them their time and energy have been well spent. I’m looking forward to seeing you at the All Clubs Meeting!

Yours in Service,

Bob Greenstreet

District 5770 Governor, 2016-17
