October and November themes emphasize the Rotary Polio Plus program and the need to continually support the Rotary Foundation.
Rotary International president-elect, Holger Knaack, has set two goals for the 2020-21 Rotary year. 1. End Polio! 2. Grow Rotary! These goals are ambitious but completely necessary to accomplish Rotary’s mission.
Our district has been awesome in its support of Polio Plus and the Rotary Foundation. But, we ALL need to work together to accomplish these goals. To date clubs in our district have given $16406 to PolioPlus and $36894 to the Rotary Foundation annual fund. This is ahead of last year’s giving but less than half (45%) of clubs have contributed. If your club has not contributed, please consider contributing SOMETHING to PolioPlus and the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund.
The Rotary Foundation has recently been designated as the #1 Foundation in the world by Charity Navigator. A better place to make your dollars work to help others cannot be found! Individual Members can make contributing easy by enrolling in ROTARY DIRECT and having a contribution automatically taken from a bank account or credit card. ROTARY DIRECT can be easily modified whenever the user wishes. Thank you for your continuing support of Polio Plus and The Rotary Foundation.
