P.E.T.S. TRAINING 2017

It is my honor to welcome you, on behalf of myself and the District Training Team, to the 2017 President-Elect Training Seminar (PETS).  We are excited to have you attend PETS; it is such an important training for you because being the club president is undeniably the most important position in Rotary.

I personally have attended the PETS trainings in many roles as a Rotarian.  I attended as a President-Elect Nominee and found it very helpful to start thinking about my role as President more than a year in advance.  Therefore, we encourage each club to invite their President Elect- Nominee (President in 2018-2019) to attend PETS as well.  We are committed to provide you with the training that you need to be successful next year as Club President.  This year, we are separating the training into two categories of elective and core courses.  The electives will be available on our website by mid-March for those of you that feel you need more information in a specific area.  Core courses are additional topics that we feel all attendees need in order to be successful in their year as President.  You are giving your most precious resource, your time, to participate in the training.  We are planning a training session that will leave you feeling confident and prepared to serve as Club President.

It has been said that “the answer is in the room” and therefore, we will be calling upon each of you to share your experiences and knowledge with your fellow Presidents-Elect.  We look forward to seeing you at the PETS training and wish you the very best in the most important year you’ll have as a Rotarian.

NOTE:  There are NO additional fees required to attend P.E.T.S.  Your club has already paid for your attendance with its District 5580 Dues.  All Sessions include Continental Breakfast at Check-in, Lunch and all materials.  P.E.T.S. will run from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
