1. Engage youth in all aspects of your Club, District and Zone.
2. Do hands-on service projects which youths find rewarding.3. Don’t let the habits or egos of older members get in the way of following the four-way test – particularly “Is it fair to all concerned?”
4. Provide mentorship and resources to help youth understand how all the different levels of Rotary work.
5. Make sure you market yourself through Instagram and Facebook.
6. Make sure that projects and fundraisers are relevant to youth (e.g. beer events).
7. Treat youths as equals. Join their Rotaract and Interact meetings.
8. Shorten your meetings; one and a half hour sessions are too long for today’s youths.
9. Avoid singing at meetings. Singing does not excite youths.
