They currently have campgrounds in Boise and Ketchum areas. This year they purchased a new campground in Fairfield near Soldier Mountain. The cabins and building were in need of major renovations and upgrades. Our clubs hands-on project with them was to help tear out old carpeting (like from the 70's) and padding, remove blinds, scrape linoleum floors, pull nails/staples left in the floors and sweep up the dust and must from all that.

It was a full day of very hard labor, a labor of love, we all went home feeling tired, dirty, in need of a shower and ibuprofen but GLOWING with the feeling of accomplishment helping these very special children who will be using these cabins next summer.  The work we accomplished was staggering! We finished all 7 cabins on the lower road so they are now ready for the renovations to begin with new flooring, window coverings and furniture.

Our grant will allow us to purchase from Dick's Sporting Goods 5 pedal boats, 2 canoes with paddles and 28 various sized life jackets for the children to use on the beautiful small lake on the property. Dick's Sporting Goods heard about our grant and has offered to add an additional $2000 for a grand total of over $7000! Our club LOVES collaborating with other groups to maximize our giving and this is a beautiful example of just that!

Proceeds from our yearly Martini Tasting Masquerade Ball will also be donated to Camp Rainbow Gold in 2021! Whew! it has been a crazy, wild rewarding year and project!
