The Greater Boise Rotary Foundation
Nonprofit organizations are essential for the care and education of a large portion of our population.  They aspire to eradicate illiteracy, provide healthcare for the needy, provide food for the poor and homeless, create opportunities for all to experience the arts, give at-risk teens the tools to get a job and live on their own, give veterans help they cannot find elsewhere, and provide services that help uplift those in need.

In the fall of 2020 The Greater Boise Rotary Foundation received 20 Letters of Intent from organizations hoping to be invited to apply for grants of $5,000 to $20,000 dollars.  These requests represent $100,000 to $400,000 of need just and we know there are hundreds more organizations actively looking for the same kind of funding to continue their work.
GBRF gave funding to two organizations (1) $20,000 to the YMCA for their School Day Plus program helping children struggle through virtual learning; (2) $10,000 to CATCH for their Rapid Rehousing Program.

The Greater Boise Rotary Foundation would like to fund all those that apply, but that is not possible at this time.  Our goal, for now, is to reach a $1,000,000 corpus and be able to give a minimum of $50,000 to local organizations each year using income from our investments.   We are on our way to the goal with a current total of $900,000 as of December 2020.

We ask that you consider making a gift to GBRF and continue to help the families of refugees, our homeless neighbors, the working poor, arts and cultural programs for all, access to pre-school and after school programs, a safe haven for abused women and children, recreation opportunities for all children, and so many other important programs.
