Boise Sunrise Rotary supports the Idaho Diaper Bank
For the last two years, Boise Sunrise has supported the Idaho Diaper Bank (IDB) in Meridian with a cash grant. The project that IDB asked for assistance on was called the Cloth Diaper Alternative. The IDB’s mission is stated as building stronger and healthier families in Idaho by providing access to basic hygiene to keep babies clean, dry, and happy. This outstanding organization has distributed more than 4 million cloth and disposable diapers to families in the Treasure Valley since 2014.

The cloth diaper program is a popular and continually expanding project meant to serve financially struggling families. They have realized how much money can be saved by using cloth diapers instead of disposables. The IDB provides a kit and training to qualified low income families that will benefit their home budget significantly until their children are potty trained. This program allows the participating families to bypass the upfront costs associated with choosing cloth diapers. This is exactly the kind of sustainable and effective project that the Boise Sunrise grants are meant to support.

At the Rotary Club of Boise Sunrise, we strive to leave it better than we found it. In supporting the impressive and effective and compassionate work of the Idaho Diaper Bank for the last 2 years, we believe we have found a non-profit partner who executes that vision very well.
