Boise Centennial Spreading Kindness

Boise Centennial Rotary club spent the month of September focused on spreading kindness. In honor of the 20th anniversary of September 11th, the group started off the month by providing much needed cleaning supplies to Valor Pointe, a local housing unit that provides housing for 26 veterans who were previously experiencing chronic homelessness.

 

 

 

Gift cards and an assortment of treats were gathered and delivered for local healthcare workers at both St. Alphonsus and St. Luke's who have been working overtime in support of COVID recovery. Additionally, $5000 in funds were awarded to four local nonprofits including in the Agency for New Americans, St. Vincent de Paul of SW Idaho, Jesse Tree, CATCH, and Faces of Hope. 

 

The club wrapped up the month of September, painting bowls for the Idaho Food Banks annual "Empty Bowls" fundraiser and gathering to celebrate the grand opening of our first club sponsored and built Little Free Library. The Little Free Library is located outside of Giraffe Laugh 2, a local nonprofit childcare facility. The library was designed and built by club member Bryan Wewers!
