Status of 2019-20 District Grants
The district grant committee met June 15th to review project applications for the 2019-20 district block grant from The Rotary Foundation.  Twenty-four clubs and the district applied with requests totaling $69,233. That’s $5,716 more than we have to spend. The committee carefully reviewed all grants in tier 3 of the D5400 model deliberating where to make the needed cuts to get us down to the budget.

The district’s application for the block grant is submitted to The Rotary Foundation on July 1, and we are asking for the full $63,517. As soon as we are notified of its acceptance by The Rotary Foundation, we will notify the clubs what their grant awards will be.  Considerations in determining where to make the cuts were late reports on open grants, late signatures on applications, the amount of active Rotarian involvement in the project and the clubs’ per capita giving to Annual Fund-SHARE in 2016-17.

We expect to send out notifications by mid-July.
