ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE?
The Rotary Club of Sylvan Lake has challenged EVERY club in District 5360 to cycle 5360 km prior to World Polio Day – October 24/20.
EVERY Rotarian is invited to participate – attached is a sponsor sheet & we ask that you collect at least one dollar for each km you ride. If you are a Rotarian you can make your contribution online through My Rotary at www.rotary.com. Please designate your contribution for Polio Plus and let Marlene Doherty (doherty8@telus.net) know the amount. If you are not a Rotarian, or if you prefer to pay by cheque, please make a cheque payable to THE ROTARY FOUNDATION. Your contribution will make a difference and we truly appreciate your support. All contributions over $20.00 are Tax Deductible and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will match two-to-one every dollar Rotary commits to polio eradication. Please submit all pledges by October 26/20.
Cycle at your leisure on your favourite pathway or country road and log your kilometres. We’ll update club distances every two weeks. We request that each club have a CCC “CLUB CYCLE CAPTAIN” who will email Marlene Doherty (doherty8@telus.net) your total kilometres the second and fourth Monday of every month – beginning AUGUST1/2020. Updates will be posted in the fifty 360 events digest.
