Women of Action

 

For 30 years women have been playing significant roles alongside other Rotarians. 

Come and meet 4 of these amazing Rotarian women, hear their journey of Rotary and be surprised by how they are making a difference right here in Calgary and around the world!

 

You’ll be inspired by: 

• Barb Young who currently runs one of the largest Rotary projects in Guatemala.
• Deb Hymers an unstoppable Rotarian whose mission of educating young people and their families, right here in Calgary, about eating and activity is changing how they think and feel.
• Anne Dale has travelled the world to help women and girls by providing eco friendly and long lasting menstrual hygiene solutions, allowing girls to stay in school even on those days!
• Christina Hassan is saving the lives of many women and children through an organization she created to support healthy labour and delivery in Africa

 

Our MC for the evening is Martin Parnell, the man behind The Secret Marathon, and perhaps the greatest Rotarian supporter of women’s rights.

There will be music, a bit of food to nibble on as well as a welcome drink included in your ticket price ($30).

Of course you need to wear something Hawaiian so that together we'll feel like we are on a beach in Maui!

 

The doors will open at 7:00 pm and the event officially starts at 7:30 pm. It will all be done by 9:30 pm.
