Rotary Youth Protection Training #2

Rotary District 5360 is pleased to announce a second training session for Club Youth Protective Officers (YPO).

When: January 18, 2020
Time: 9:30 - 11:30 AM
Where: Windsor Park Community Association (in person) OR online via Zoom
Registration deadline: January 11, 2020
 

In this training session you will learn:​

• Your role and responsibilities
• Key activities required 
• Logistics of how to complete those activities 
• Role in reporting and documenting harassment and abuse cases   
   

Important information:

• This training is mandatory for YPO from all clubs who currently have an Inbound student, and optional for those clubs who are involved in other Youth Programs.
  • If you attended the YPO training on October 19, 2019, it is not mandatory to attend this training.
     
• Clubs with Inbound Students: if your YPO cannot attend, then the club Youth Exchange Officer/Chair must attend. 
  • Reminder: These roles require Volunteer screening to be complete. 

• When registering, please indicate in the comment box if you will be attending in person or online.
  • A laptop is required for the hands-on portion of this training.

Note: there is also training in Calgary that same day (9 – 4:30 p.m.) for the Outbound Student Candidates, allowing you to coordinate transportation if you would like to attend in person.
