There are over 70,000 Marines at Camp Pendleton! More than 160 babies are born there each month! There are 10,000 children under the age of 5! Most families arrive with whatever they can fit in their car. With a very low income, most do not have all they need for newborns and small children. They also have to furnish an apartment and set up a kitchen.

The Rotary clubs in District 5280 are collecting new and gently used baby, childrens, and household items for these young families. They select what they need from contributions to the "Warrior Warehouse".

Items in the greatest need are:

  • Baby or young children's clothing, diapers, toys, books, bathtubs, strollers, cribs, furniture
  • Dishes, cookware, food prep tools, matresses (no stains or holes), bedding, other household items
  • Gift cards for Target or Walmart
  • To donate money, contact David Henseler for details

Pick up arrangements may be made in the South Bay. All donations can be dropped off on January 9th and 10th and transported to Camp Pendleton on Jan 11.

For a drop-off location, contact David Henseler at 310-753-0929 or dhenseler@socal.rr.com or Jim Miceli at 818-763-5693 or jimmiceli@aol.com
