Aviva Picks Rotary!

You remember the story, don't you?? About a year ago we ran the story "The Little Rotary Club that Could" about Lake Country Rotary and their bid to win $100,000 from the Aviva Community Fund competition to help with their $750,000 Food Bank project. Well thanks in part to votes from you, Rotarians in D5060, they won the funds! Now Aviva has chosen the Lake Country Food Bank as the "poster" story for their 2015 contest. On Sept 11 Aviva executives & a film crew were on site to create a video showing how their Community Fund can stimulate projects that benefit a whole community. This is a story that all of Rotary can be proud of, but especially the hard-working members in Lake Country... Congratulations to all!
By the way, let their success be an inspiration to all of you with big ideas! The Aviva Community Fund is open as of September 15 for the 2015 competition, and once again they will be giving $1,000,000 to worthy community projects in Canada. For information see: www.avivacommunityfund.org
