Thanks to everyone who participated in the Flash Mob during the iRotary District Conference on June 1, 2013 at the Vancouver Art Gallery!

We are using this video to promote Rotary and our PolioPlus program so watch the video, email the link to your friends (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8Mrw1Lr5fI), like and share it it on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other social media sites.

A long 2 1/2 years from dream to dance and only 2 1/2 minutes for the dance itself!

As an added bonus - here are two more versions of the Flash Mob - one by Assistant Governor Allan Asaph and another by an observer named Butch (and check for closeups of Governor Sean & Carol with their children at 3:30 of Butch's video!):

This is a message from your Choreographer!

You have permission to have as much fun as possible.

One key to doing this is practice the moves enough to not have to think about them! If you're having trouble remembering the moves come up with a little story to help you along.

The most important thing is to enjoy yourself, and you don't have to be a professional to do that!

We will have a few rehearsals before hand, please check this Facebook page and join the Flash Mob to know when and where they are:

You're welcome to invite friends and family. If you have any questions feel free to ask on the event page, thank you very much and see you soon!

MORE INFORMATION HERE

Practice the dance moves on your own.  Details on the live practice sessions during the District Conference will follow.

To further help dancers during the Flash Mob, there will be dance leaders that you can watch and follow during the event.  If anyone is interested in being a dance leader, please Facebook Bobby Bonsey at the above link.

The Flash Mob is open to all and anyone - whether you are attending the District Conference or not.  We need observers as well as dancers, so tell your friends and family to join us!

The date is Saturday June 1 at 2:30 pm at the Vancouver Art Gallery in the large open area facing Georgia Street.

You are welcome to join us earlier as we will be having lunch at the Gourmet Food Trucks located in the area.

Wear your Rotary pin and any Rotary logo gear that you may have.

If you are there - either to dance or to watch - make sure you don't make it obvious that you're waiting for the Flash Mob.  Wander around, chat with friends, enjoy some food.  Smile and look surprised when it starts, then join in when it gets going.

The video will be broadcast on Sunday June 2 after a premiere showing during the District Conference, then uploaded to YouTube.

We have a marketing plan in place to generate over 1 million hits.  We will need everyone's help to promote the video by social media, email etc.

After viewers watch the Flash Mob video, they will be directed to other videos on Rotary, PolioPlus and our District.
