Make a difference day

For Make a Difference Day, our group for two projects back-to-back and we will be joined by nine Interact members (young backs, yay!) Tim Graham will be the point person on event day and will be picking up our volunteer shirts (thanks, Tim!) We will meet at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, at Old Community Missionary Baptist Church, 238 W. Kirkham, prepared to assist the pastor with yard work and possibly honeysuckle removal. We will need to bring all our own gardening tools, gloves, shovels, clippers, etc. 

 

We will then move to the south side of the Recreation Complex (near the Aquatic Center entrance) to weed, plant and mulch the Rotary garden. The City will provide yard waste bags, plant material and mulch, but we will again use our own tools. That puts us right where the free hot dog lunch will be served between 11 and 1.
