From Ivan Docker, District 5370 Rotary Peace Fellowship Chair:

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is the premier scholarship of The Rotary Foundation and supports Rotary's mission to empower, educate, and increase the capacity of peace builders through rigorous academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities.  Two types of fellowships are offered:  a master's degree program and a three month professional development certificate program.

More information concerning Rotary Peace Fellowships can be found on Rotary International's website here.   Click on the "Advance Your Education" banner, and then click on "Learn More About Peace Fellowhips".

Each year up to 60 Masters Degree Fellowships, and up to 50 three month Professional Development Fellowships are awarded worldwide by the Rotary Foundation.  Over the past four years, one Masters Degree Fellowship and two 3-month Professional Development Fellowships have been awarded to applicants from our District 5370!

Now is the time to seek out worthy candidates for the Rotary Peace Fellowships, and to encourage them to apply.  There is no cost to your club if a Peace Fellow that your club nominates is selected, nor is there a cost to District 5370.  The Rotary Foundation funds the entire cost!

Applications for the 2015 Rotary Peace Fellowships are now available on Rotary International's website.  The completed application needs to be endorsed by your Club and submitted to our District Office by May 15, 2014 in order to meet the deadline for submission to Rotary International.
