Glendale West Rotary Club is partnering with Arizona Burns on their Glendale Community Smoke Walk.
The goal is to canvassing low-income neighborhoods and install 400 FREE smoke alarms in homes that do not have one. Unfortunately, 3 of every 5 home fire death results from a fire where there was no working smoke alarm in the home. Having a working smoke alarm cuts the chances of dying in a reported fire in half.
They will provide all the necessary tools and training beforehand in order to do the installs. These walks are a very fun and social event that not only benefits communities in need and potentially saves lives, but it is also a great way to meet and network with others that truly care about giving back.
We will be meeting at Glendale American Elementary School at 8:00am. The exact address for this school is 8530 N 55th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85302
