The Alberta Energy Regulator, or AER, ensures the safe, efficient, orderly, and environmentally responsible, lifecycle development of hydrocarbon resources, including coal, oil, oil sands, and natural gas. This includes allocating and conserving water resources, managing public lands, and protecting the environment while providing economic benefits for all Albertans. The AER is authorized to make decisions on applications for energy development, monitoring for compliance assurance, decommissioning of developments, and all other aspects of energy resource activities (activities that must have an approval under one or more of the six provincial energy statutes). |

Have fun at the Annual Golf Tournament! It will be August 19 , immediately following our regular Rotary meeting. The meeting and golf tournament will be at the beautiful Grande Prairie Golf and Country Club. This year's committee is going to try a different format this year. It will be 9 Holes (simple scramble). The idea would be to encourage all those" Non -Regular" golfers to come out and have some fun and fellowship. BRING A GUEST! The GP course is in fantastic shape. Sign up and come and have some fun.The cost for non members of the Golf Club is $39.90, with a cart it will be $53.03. As I have announced today the Hogg and Grogg is alive and well!

Where: Sons of Norway Hall

Cost: $20 per adult, kids 17 and under will be free
Hogg: Pork, smashed potatoes, coleslaw, ceasar salad and beans. With a surprise dessert!! All prepared by the A team and some of the B team.
Grogg: Cash bar
Entertainment: The James Morrison Band playing from 7pm to 9pm.
Open for cocktails at 5pm and I'm kicking you out at 10pm.

Lynn Wyton is Director, Passenger Market Development with Edmonton International Airport (EIA). His primary focus is the development of business partnerships with regional, national and international companies. These partnerships serve as a key foundation for EIA’s growth and role as an economic driver for our region. Previous to joining EIA, Lynn worked in leadership and business development positions in a variety of areas including energy, manufacturing, tourism and education in both the private and public sectors. Lynn’s hobbies include hiking and travel which he enjoys with his wife, Lara, and two daughters, Kim and Moira. He is also a member of the Edmonton Glenora Rotary Club, and he looks forward to building connections between EIA and Rotarians throughout Alberta, Canada and around the world.

The annual Rotary Multi Club Christmas Party will be held on December 2, 2016 at the Pomeroy Hotel & Conference Centre. Cocktails at 6:00 PM Dinner at 7:00 PM with a dance to follow. It is a great opportunity for us to mix and mingle with fellow Rotarians from the other clubs! Cost is $60 for non-members of the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie. Members are free and the meeting will be in place of our noon hour meeting that day. Please RSVP no later than November 25th. Hope to see you there!
