Deepest Condolences to Alex Petrovic

 

These past two weeks have been a difficult time for me and our family. My father - mentor and business partner - died on Saturday, February 18, 2017, from complications due to Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

 

Our immediate family and father took a family vacation to California in early February. On Friday, February 10th, my father was taken to the hospital with symptoms similar to influenza. That evening, blood test results indicated leukemia. We were all in shock, as my father was in good health. In fact, three days before, he golfed 18 holes with my step brother-in-law and afterward had beer and cigars.

 

My father was transferred to a larger hospital in California where they ran additional tests and concluded he had AML, a rare and aggressive blood cancer. On the afternoon of February 13, he suffered several strokes and a heart attack. On February 18th he passed away quickly and peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and children.

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3rd at Visitation Church - 5141 Main St, Kansas City, Missouri 64112. The visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. The Service will begin at 1:30 p.m. After the service, my step-mother Peggy Petrovic is welcoming all to stop by her home for refreshments and storytelling. Her address is 8152 Ash, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208, located at the back of the cul-de-sac.

 

My father was a man of principle, compassion and honesty.  I am proud to have had him as a father and a business partner.  He will be missed.
