Peter Young Shares His Firsthand Account of 9/11

At our most recent Friday morning meeting, we heard from Peter Young, a banking and financial services professional, who worked in a building adjacent to World Trade Center Tower 1.  He discussed his step-by-step reaction to the events surrounding him and how he reconciled the need to find safety with following civic rules, helping others, and most importantly, figuring out exactly what was going on.  Fortunately, Peter was able to find his way out of the chaos and back to his family, but his experience gave a glimpse of the intensity of that one day, which influenced the psyche of our nation long after.  Thanks to PAUR member Sandra Wang for introducing us to Peter so we could reflect on these events their anniversary week.
