Stanford Re-constructed

There certainly has been a great deal of new construction going on around the Stanford campus lately. Have you been wondering what is left of what you remember, and what marvels have replaced them? Join us Friday to get the full scoop from someone who would know best, Stanford Architect and Director of Campus Planning David Lenox.

David has been the Stanford University Architect since 2005 and has been focused on establishing a framework for continued physical growth of the campus to support the mission and vision of the University. He has led the development of a campus master plan which outlines strategies to restore the original Olmsted campus plan, and has also worked closely with the individual schools and departments to create a system of district plans and new buildings for the Graduate Business School, Law School, Biological Sciences, School of Engineering, School of Medicine, and the Arts District.

David received a bachelor's degree in environmental design from Miami University in Ohio and a master's degree in architecture from Ohio State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and served as an adjunct professor at Ohio State. He has served on design juries for AIA San Francisco, California Preservation Foundation, AIA National Interior Design Awards, and the Society for College and University Planning, and also participates as a design critic for the Stanford Architectural Program. David has served as a faculty leader with the Stanford Travel Program.
