Overview of the We Care Committee
The We Care Committee, works with the Social Committee, as the heart of our Rotary Club. The goals of the We Care Committee are to create and strengthen connections between members. These goals include supporting members in need, getting to know our members better, creating a better sense of community, or helping new members integrate into the club as part of our Rotary family.
The committee organizes informal activities, which might range from day hikes to happy hours to weekends at a beach house. The committee also creates an “electronic community” within our club to allow one member to send out a request to other members for assistance or for various services.
The We Care Committee is also planning occasional more structured Van Horne Time, so members at a table can get to know each other better. There are multiple other topics the committee is discussing, all focused on allowing members to get to know each other, and to see what resources we each have to share.
Current members of the committee are KIMBERLEIGH WILLIAMS (CHAIR), TOD GREGORY (CO-CHAIR), PAT DEVANEY, DON MACKENZIE, GEORGIE GLEIM, KATHARINA BREME, ROB PARISH, JUDY JOHNSON, and KP NAIDU. The committee is looking for feedback and ideas. Please contact any member if you have suggestions.
