Program

Gwen Rydall  - - -Grow Coaching and Consulting, LLC
Generational Differences - - Wonders about intergenerational differences.  What comes to mind, music, technology, communication, work ethics, work/life balance.  Generation refers to co-hort of people who were born at about the same time and have shared events.
Does leadership and human resources in corporations.  There are now four generations in the work force.  This is the first time that has happened.
Traditionalist - - Born between 1922-1945 - - Examples are Betty White and Warren Buffet  Hard work, sacrifice, respect for authority, patience.   Expected to be in workforce until 2030.
Baby Boomers – Born between 1946 – 1964 – Examples David Letterman, Jamie Lee Curtis, Meryl Streep - - it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.  Politically savvy and well connected of all generations. Hard work, first generation with dual income families, highest divorce rate.  Considered workaholics
Gen-x – Born between 1965 – 1983 - - Creators of casual day – latch key kids, more relaxed Tend to be a job is just a job.
Millennials - - Born between 1984- 2002 - - Mark Zuckerberg, Coming with a support team - -  parents are over involved in their lives.  Helicopter parents.  Safety became a concern, play dates.  A lot of structure - - a lot of people around to help them.
Discussion on how generations interact in the work force.
