Paul Hinman, Wild Rose Independence Party Leader
Alberta's Future

Continuing in the series of speakers on the future of our Province, our Zoom speaker will be Paul Hinman.

Mr. Hinman serves as the leader of the Wildrose Independence Party of Alberta (WRIP). He is a provincial politician and entrepreneur from Calgary, Alberta. He was formerly the leader of the Wildrose Alliance. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 2004 to 2008 representing the electoral district of Cardston-Taber-Warner. On September 14, 2009, Hinman returned to the Legislative Assembly by winning a by-election in Calgary-Glenmore, but lost his bid for re-election on April 23, 2012.

The WRIP advocates for Alberta to become a sovereign constitutional democracy.

As stated in the RCEW Speakers Policy, Rotary members welcome thought-provoking perspectives on social and policy issues. Any presentation represents the speaker’s views and is not endorsed by the Rotary Club. The Speakers Committee strives to provide a variety of perspectives over time.

Rotary is an apolitical organization. Speakers are asked to avoid political appeals in their presentations. Presentations may be directed towards public policy perspectives. Solicitations for Club or member support of political parties or candidates are to be avoided.
