OUR GUEST SPEAKER

Our guest speaker will be Paul Hinman, the leader of the Wildrose Independence Party of Alberta who will add to our series of speakers on the best future of our province. The last speaker on this topic was the leader of the opposition, Hon. Rachel Notley, who spoke to our Club in November 2021.

As noted in our Club Speaker Policy, Rotary members welcome thought-provoking perspectives on social and policy issues. Any presentation represents the speaker’s views and is not endorsed by the Rotary Club. The Speakers Committee strives to provide a variety of perspectives over time.

Rotary is an apolitical organization. Accordingly, speakers are asked to avoid political appeals in their presentations. Presentations may be directed towards public policy perspectives, but solicitations for Club or member support of political parties or candidates will be avoided. This restriction does not apply to requests for support of charitable causes. Speakers who occupy or aspire to a political office will not be booked to speak during the period of the election campaign for that office.
