Christmas Tag Day
In Support of Operation Friendship Seniors Society (OFSS)
and the "Stocking Stuffers for Seniors" Program
Thursday, November 15, 2018
It's really a work bee, and Operation Friendship Seniors Society (plus their partners, London Drugs and CFCW) would love our help. What exactly will we be doing? Preparing/writing tags for the "Stocking Stuffers for Seniors" program. Each tag will contain the name of a senior in need, plus the items that senior has indicated would make his/her Christmas bright. About 4000 tags need to be prepared.
In case you're wondering, these tags will go on the Christmas trees in London Drugs stores. Then, when you're out Christmas shopping, you simply head into a London Drugs, pick a tag, purchase the items listed, and leave them (along with the tag) with the cashier. Those items will be wrapped and given to that senior for Christmas.
The work of preparing/writing the tags starts at 9 am and goes until it's finished (2 pm is just a rough estimate), but you can drop in for just an hour or stay as long you like. There's no knowing how long it will take, so you might want to come earlier rather than later so you don't miss out.
If you're planning to come, please send Sandra Bayrock sabayrock@shaw.ca an email with your name and, if possible, the approximate time you plan on arriving. The OFSS folks need to know who to expect.
