DISTRICT GOVERNOR FRANK REITZ 2017 2018
Frank Reitz is married to Barbara who is also a Rotarian. They have 2 children and 14 grandchildren.  Barb’s Classification is Nurse Educator and they have been in Fort McMurray 45 years.
Frank’s Classification is “Real Estate”.  He has been a Realtor with RE/MAX Fort McMurray since 1996 where he has represented his Vocation in many capacities. 
Frank has served as Vice President of the Fort McMurray Real Estate Board and as a member of the Wood Buffalo Builders Association which he Chaired from 1998 - 2002.  He is past Director of the Building Committee of the Fort McMurray Family Crisis Society and was Chair when the Society received $13 million Provincial funding for a new facility.  He has served on the local Community Futures Wood Buffalo Board for 2 terms from 2009 – 2015 as a member of the Lending Committee.
Frank was a member of the Fort McMurray Kinsmen Club from 1973 – 1984 and this is where his journey of service began.  Together,  Frank and Barb (Kinettes)  were involved with Club projects in the small community serving as Committee Chairs and holding most Executive positions.  Both Frank and Barb served their respective Clubs as President.  Frank chaired the Fort McMurray Kinsmen Blueberry Festival for 2 consecutive years and served as a Deputy Governor for 11 Clubs in Northeastern Alberta.  
From 1986 - 1992  Frank served as Chair of the Men’s Night Program at the Miskinaw Golf Course.  He was elected to the position of Golf Club President, representing golf on the MacDonald Island Park Society and later served a term as Board Chair. 
Frank joined the Rotary Club of Fort McMurray in 2001 where he served as Membership Chair for 3 years, Club President in 2005 – 06 and Assistant Governor from 2008 – 2011.  Frank is a Director of Rotarylinks@WoodBuffalo which is a Rotary Club of Fort McMurray Golf Course Project.
Frank and Barb are multiple Paul Harris Fellows and have attended 7 District 5370 Conferences, 2 Zone 24 & 32 Assemblies, 1 International Assembly and 5 International Conventions.  They have hosted numerous Rotary Youth Exchange students and have had the pleasure of visiting with them and their parents while enjoying their international travels.
As your District 5370 Governor for 2017 - 18, Frank is committed to working with District and Club leadership to strengthen Club Membership, Focus and Increase Humanitarian Service and Enhance Rotary’s Public Image and Awareness to ensure that Rotary IS Making a Difference.
