Fellow Rotarians and Friends,

I am very happy to let you know that we will be supporting the Hope Homes Foundation this year for the United Way Day of Action on Friday, June 22^nd. Hope Homes Foundation is celebrating its 55^th anniversary as a housing ministry for people with disabilities and hosting an August 10 “Food Truck Round-Up” fundraiser at Hope Center, 2300 Call Road in Stow. Beautifying their buildings and grounds in preparation for this event is a top priority for them. Their mission is to create safe, accessible, affordable homes for adults with Developmental Disabilities and other special needs. This is our to-do list for the day: 

• Re-stain picnic tables, storage shed and dumpster fence. We will pressure wash/prep in advance and have stain, brushes, cups and tarps to use. (see attached pictures)
• Spray/Treat shelter ceiling to remove mold.
• Power wash shelter floor and sidewalks. If one of your volunteers has a power washer, we would be grateful for its use. Otherwise, we may need to rent one for the day.
• Weed, edge and mulch all flower beds and trim shrubs/trees (wheelbarrow and hand tools available but extras would be helpful).
• Mow and trim the grounds. Weed trimmer and mower available.

Of course, bottled water and lunch for your crew will be provided. How does a build-your-own taco bar with all the fixings and some sweet treats sound? Any dietary restrictions we should know about?

Volunteers should wear old clothes and shoes and bring work gloves, hat, and sunscreen. We will be working that day at the Hope Center, 2300 Call Road in Stow.
