COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT
Gatepath, 889 Stanton Road, Burlingame
WHAT WILL WE DO: Under the direction of Rebuilding staff and our Construction Captain Jim Benso from Amoroso Construction, Rotary volunteers and their friends will prepare and paint rooms, install wainscotting to protect high-traffic areas frequented by wheelchairs, walkers and carts, and construct some simple cabinets for storage.
WHERE: At Gatepath's Adult Center just of Rollins Road, Burlingame
WHEN: Volunteers will gather at 8 AM, enjoy a continental breakfast, get a 'collector's item' commemorative T-Shirt. Around 9 AM, be assigned to a work team and get instructions.
WHY: To proudly provide community service to a long-time partner of Burlingame Rotary and business operating in our City.
WHAT IF I'M NOT HANDY: There will be many different assignments that are tailored to a very broad range of talents. Not to worry, we'll find you a task that contributes to the work and to your personal satisfaction.
WHO CAN VOLUNTEER: You and any member of your family, friends, neighbors, church members, scouts, high school community service groups, sports teams. (Must be 14 years of age and older)
HOW DO I SIGN UP: Sign up sheet at Rotary meetings; cal/email Sheryl Young or Cheryl Fama, Keep your eyes open for an Event Brite e-mail sign up invitation.
Names, email addresses and T-Shoirt sizes needed by April 15th.
Lunch is provided and all are invited to a thank you BBQ at Oracle Center 4:30PM
