Mark Your Calendar - Avenues of Service - Oct. 17

Participating in District 5170's Avenues of Service is a great way to tune up for a new year of commitment to Rotary principles and service programs. Mark you calendars now for this gathering open to all district members from 4 pm - 9 pm.

Held at San Jose's Doubletree Hotel - the hot spot for District 5170 gatherings in the South Bay -- afternoon meeting and dinner features seminars, displays, and presentations covering key aspects of successful Rotary clubs and membership through its avenues of service:

  • Club Service - Focusing on fellowship;
  • Vocational Service - Supporting fellow members' professional development  success;
  • Community Service - Projects aiding of neighbhors and neighboring communities in need of our help;
  • International Service - Eradicating polio, bringing clean drinking water to developing countries, assisting economic development and much more.
  • Youth Service - Fostering leadership and community service ideals among young people.

The Avenues of is an important step in the education of Red Badgers in the ways and workings of Rotary. For Blue Badgers, it is a great opportunity to learn new skills and discover new opportunities for community services.
