Members of the Amador and Foothill High School Interact Clubs pitched in April 2 to restore the "Welcome to Pleasanton" Gateway sign at the northwest corner of Stanley Blvd. and Valley Avenue. The students cleaned and painted the sign before installing a new, laminated steel Rotary Wheel sign carrying the message "3 Clubs. Join Us."  The three clubs are the Rotary Club of Pleasanton North (PNR), Rotary Club of Pleasanton, and Tri-Valley Evening Rotary. They also cleaned and reattached signs from the 4-H Club, Assistance League of Amador Valley, and Lion's Club International to the display.

The Amador and Foothill Interact Clubs are planning similar renovations to "Welcome to Pleasanton" kiosks at the southwest corner of intersection of Hopyard Road and Stoneridge Drive and on south side of Sunol Boulevard near the I-680 underpass. The Rotary Club of Pleasanton is working with the Alameda County Fair Board on a proposed new "Welcome to Pleasanton" design with space for community service club signage from Rotary and other Pleasanton civic organizations.

The sign renewal project is part of this year's the 50 Years of Rotary in Pleasanton Celebration. Kevin Greenlee, PNR's youth services coordinator, supervised the Interact Club volunteers. Bob Silva, a member of the Rotary Club of Pleasanton, is working on new site development.
