Melynn Sight Awarded Club's Highest Honor --

At a special Awards and Recognition luncheon meeting on June 29th, former Rotary President Melynn Sight  was awarded the Club’s highest honor, the Ben Craig Distinguished Service Award.  Selection Committee Chairman Jim Hix said the five criteria used to select a recipient are:
  • The Rotarian must have distinguished himself/herself by fully representing the principles of Rotary.
  • The Rotarian’s contributions to the club are considered.
  • The Rotarian’s contributions to the community are considered.
  • The Rotarian’s professional and business accomplishments are considered.
Melynn's background demonstrates how she has excelled in all of these areas.  Having joined Rotary in 1996, she was elected to the Board of Directors in 1999 and served as President in 2006.  She also served on the OP Rotary Foundation Board from 2007 thru 2013.

Her broader community volunteer service includes an impressive array of service to several organizations including serving on the Board of Directors for both the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education and the Johnson County Community Foundation.

Melynn is the founder and President of nSight Marketing, a marketing and communications consulting company that works with associations, societies and Chamber's throughout the United States. http://www.nsightmarketing.com/
