Student based Emergency response on UTD Campus

Sheila Elliott is the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Director for University Emergency Medical Response (UEMR) at The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD).

UEMR is a 501c3 non-profit organization of UTD and serves as the first responder organization on campus. She also started the EMS Program in May 2020 and has certified over 300 students as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), including employees from 5 area fire departments.

The EMS Providers from UTD have been responsible for assisting with COVID testing and vaccinations on campus.     They also partnered with UTSW and helped administer over 49,000 vaccines to our community during the summer.
