Why a Warming Station?
- 558 homeless individuals in Collin County (Jan 2019)
- 395 temporarily sheltered
- 163 unsheltered (105 in Plano)
- 191 identified were children
- PISD reported 408 students experiencing homelessness
The Collin County Homeless Coalition created POWS to provide emergency shelter for homeless during Dangerous Cold Weather Events. Guest provided with a meal and place to sleep overnight.
