NOV 20 POWS Orientation Session

Serve the homeless and become a Plano Overnight Warming Station (POWS) Volunteer!

Attend the POWS Volunteer Orientation Session.

Additional Detail: 

• Volunteers will need to also register through the link below AND complete the Volunteer Signup.
• Go To  pows.collincares.org/training to Sign Up for Volunteer Training (only attend one)
• (If a new volunteer, please also complete the "Volunteer Signup" information)
• There are two modules to be covered during the training and should take less than an hour.
• Safe from Harm (Salvation Army required Safe Environment Training)
• POWS Check-In to Check-Out: Policies and Procedures
• Background Checks and The Salvation Army's Safe from Harm training must be renewed every 2 years.

The Collin County Homeless Coalition created POWS to provide emergency shelter for homeless during Dangerous Cold Weather Events. Guest provided with a meal and place to sleep overnight.
