Calling all Rotarians, Friends of the Duncanville Rotary Club, neighbors, friends and family. We need your help!
The season is upon us where our activity in the Community starts to peak. We need volunteers for Club projects and community events. The list will continue to grow. But here are a couple of more immediate projects where your help and participation can make a difference:
- WEDNESDAY 9/23/15, EARLY ACT FIRST KNIGHT KICKOFF
Hundreds of students, teachers, and school staff will attend the 2015-2016 school year kickoff of Early Act First Knight at the Old Panther Stadium, next to Central Elementary. We need ushers to help situate visitors into the stands. Monte Anderson kindly offered parking space off Freeman Street behind the Main Street Station where Duncanville Community Theater is located. Dr. Peralta is parking attendant at that location and will help guide people to the stadium. We also need a parking attendant to shuttle people between the parking area and the stadium.

- FRIDAY 10/23/15 - SATURDAY 10/24/15, SMOKIN' BLUES & BBQ FESTIVAL 2015
The Rotary Club and CERT are working together to provide manpower for this first annual event in Duncanville. It is a two-day event that starts Friday evening and is all day Saturday. Being a volunteer means you also receive the benefits of partaking in the fun! You can work two - three hour shifts and have your family meet you to join in the festivities. It will take about 140 volunteers to man everything from the gates to the festivities. Please consider helping out.
