Change always comes bearing gifts. - Price Pritchett

The Rotary Club of Duncanville is set to embark on a new journey.  The Club has been selected to participate in Rotary International's Innovative and Flexible Rotary Club Pilot Project.  What this means for our Club is new ways of doing things!  We hope that also means you engaging with our Club and joining us in making a difference in our community.

We received our letter of approval on June 2, 2015 and would like to share this great moment with you:

To the Rotary Club of Duncanville

Attention:  Pilot Coordinator and Club Officers

I would like to congratulate you on being selected to participate in the Innovative and Flexible Rotary Club pilot beginning 1 July 2015 and ending 30 June 2017. This is an exciting opportunity for your club to experiment with changes to the Standard Rotary Club Constitution and bylaws.  To remain relevant to prospective as well as current members, it is important that Rotary continues to explore new ways to engage members and enhance club operations. With this acceptance, your club is joining a select group of clubs from all Rotary countries and geographical regions and all of Rotary’s thirty-four (34) zones.

We look forward to working with you over the next two years as you experiment with some different alternatives. Your club should begin working over the next 30 days to start implementing changes on 1 July 2015.

Over the next few weeks you will receive more information regarding when and how your club will be evaluated and measured regarding the impact your innovation has on:

·         membership types

·         club operations

·         member activities and engagement

·         sustained membership growth and retention

·         improved member diversity

·         increased community and international service

·         increased support of The Rotary Foundation

·         overall club effectiveness

Some of this is available for your reference in the pilot guidelines. If you have any specific questions or comments please send an email to ripilotprograms@rotary.org.

Good luck in your efforts over these next two years and thank you for agreeing to be a part of this exciting opportunity.

Best regards,

Anja Van Ostrand
