City of Duncanville Public Works
Feb. 23, 2016
Do you ever wonder what the Public Works department actually does? Did you know that not every city has a Public Works department? The people in this city government department do a lot, probably more than you imagined. Come learn about Public Works and meet the man who runs this operation for our City of Champions - Mike J. Hasler, P.E. The P.E. after Mike's name is not for physical education, but rather means he is a licensed Professional Engineer. Although he probably does get a lot of exercise overseeing the ten divisions under Public Works. Mike is a homegrown engineer, graduating from The University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelors and Masters in Engineering. For thirteen years, he served as Director of Public Works for the City of Arlington, where he provided the vision for the Three Bridges megaproject - a three mile transformation of the IH-30 corridor that now bridges Cowboys Stadium, Texas Rangers Ballpark, Six Flags & Hurricane Harbor, and the Arlington Convention Center. Mike also managed Glorypark, one of the largest, most complex mixed-use developments surrounding the Ranger Ballpark. He has served as project manager for the City of Fort Worth and other private companies. Please join us Tuesday to welcome Mike Hasler! |
