During the April 26, 2019 meeting, President Michelle Mullaly welcomed the 61 members and 7 guests to the meeting. President Michelle let everyone know they would be receiving a cup of Taggart's butter pecan ice cream compliments of Rotarian Tom Sinclair, who celebrated his birthday on April 23rd. Thank You Tom!!
 
Rotarian Becky Clark provided the Invocation.
 
Congratulations to Rotarian Raquel Raderchak for having the winning 50/50 ticket worth $42.00. * Editor's Note: Raquel donated $22.00 of her winnings back to the "Run, Run-raiser" which will help the "Pack the Bus" program to feed and clothe Canton City School children over their winter break.
 
Club Secretary Suzette Matthews welcomed the following guests to the meeting: Maureen Tate (speaker); Makai Burns (Character Champ); Shakeilah Burns (guest of Makai Burns); Skylar Morse (Character Champ); Ashley Eller (Character Champ); Michelle Eller (guest of Ashley Eller); David Kliem (McKinley H.S. representative).

  • PP Amanda Tietze - to announce the Better Business Bureau Recycling Event on 4/26/19 at Central Catholic High School;

  • Tony Pierce - to celebrate the birth of his second daughter, Roslyn Joy, on Tuesday April 16, 2019;

  • Suzette Matthews - to celebrate good news about her father's recent doctor appointment regarding his health and status of his esophageal cancer;

  • Lynn Hamilton - to celebrate the great article about Kozmos Grill and Rick Taylor in The Repository on Wednesday, April 24, 2019.

  • PP Virginia Neutzling - to celebrate the birthday of Dr. Sinclair and the delicious Taggart's Ice Cream dessert he provided at lunch.
Rotarian Mike Brown took to the podium to introduce the April Character Counts recipients, Makai Burns, Skylar Morse and Ashley Eller (*see story above);
 
 
Rotarian and Co-Chair of the Annual Golf Outing Bill Liber announced he was providing an incentive to members who brought in the most Hole Sponsors. They would receive an authentic Masters Golf hat which Bill purchased when he attended the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. (*see Golf Outing story above);
 
President Michelle provided members the opportunity to donate to the "Run, Run-raiser"; Rotarians Suzette Matthews, Raquel Raderchak and PP Denny Fulmer were going to be participating in the Hall of Fame Marathon the next day. All monies raised would be donated to the "Pack the Bus" program. President Michelle informed everyone the "Pack the Bus" program helped 180 families last year and 100 families the year before. She stated every little bit helps. *Editor's note: The Rotarians and guests donated a grand total of $853.00 towards this worthy cause.
 
 
Rotarian James Boggs filled in for a traveling Speaker Chair Mark Clendenin and introduced the speaker for the meeting, Maureen Tate, from the Stark County Hunger Task Force.
 
 
President Michelle concluded the meeting by announcing next week's meeting will be the Rotary Scouts program.
