This Friday September 23, 2022, we will hold are regular meeting at the Canton Rotary/Habitat Pocket Park at Allen Ave. and Johns Ct. SE.

Box lunches will be provided, along with beverages. Habitat will bring folding chairs for all of us to use. Habitat will also give us an update on what they've been up to.

Parking is available on the streets near the park.

Hope to see you there!

(We will be attempting to provide the Zoom option for this meeting. However, since there will be no wi-fi access for us to use, we will have to rely on a data connection with one of our phones. Fingers crossed that it will work. Please use the usual link as shown in the separate article.)

Background: Past President Craig Young started, or at least enhanced, our partnership with Habitat for Humanity of East Central Ohio during his term. Besides a financial contribution to their work, the Club also agreed to provide some manual labor to help them build their 'pocket park' (basically a smaller park in a central location in the neighborhood) as part of their "Renewal Project" in the Harris Royal neighborhood in Canton's Northeast end. The new pocket park is part of their Renewal Project: Southeast, including Lathrop, Hartford and Belden neighborhoods.

Canton Rotarians volunteered to help finish that Northeast pocket park, much as we hope to do this Friday, on July 29, 2017. Photos of that effort can be seen here: https://cantonrotary.org/photoalbums/habitat-for-humanity-2017-pocket-park
