At our Zoom meeting on June 4, 2021, President Drew Pelger welcomed a total of 26 Canton Rotarians (live at John's Bar and also via Zoom), as well as our guest speaker, Jeff Reale, and guest of the club, Soon-to-Be New Member Michael Milbrandt.

  • 1892 - Henry Ford drove his first Ford through the streets of Detroit
  • 1919 - Congress passes the Women’s Suffrage Bill, which is the 19th Amendment
  • 1940 - The Miracle of Dunkirk, when a flotilla of over 800 vessels, including Royal Navy Destroyers, Merchant Marine boats, fishing boats, pleasure craft and even lifeboats evacuated Allied troops from France, to avoid the advancing German troops, saving the lives of 338,266 soldiers.
  • 1984 - Arnold Palmer failed to qualify for the US Open for the first time in 32 consecutive attempts
