The mission of the Baseball Heritage Museum is to preserve and present the history of diversity in baseball by entertaining, educating and enlightening the visiting public about the multicultural heritage of baseball and the values it represents.

At the Baseball Heritage Museum, founded in 1997, we take great pride in reaching out to the community in which we are involved in.  We have established a program entitled “League Park Academy” whereby we involve the surrounding neighborhoods with events ranging from book discussions, to free art classes, events on the field and so on.

My role as Director of Education is not only to teach art at the museum itself, but serve as a Board Member and assist in overseeing fundraising for the museum as well.

Just this past year we were fortunate enough to receive significant contributions from not only The Cleveland Foundation, but The Lary Doby Foundation as well as others, including the Cleveland Indians.  The Museum was also acknowledged in Helmar’s Baseball History and Art Magazine, a National Publication, as well as Spitball Magazine.
