Scott announced he was subbing for President Tori who was out of town. He reminded all of the Rotary International Theme: “Create Hope in the World.” Judy Crates led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.  All joined in singing "Jingle Bell Rock." Each member attending, in turn, shared thoughts about something they would enjoy most during the upcoming Holidays.

 

Scott introduced Harry Price, Assistant District Governor for Area 9. Sanjay introduced Thida Cornes, who has attended a club meeting in the past. Thida stated that she plans to join

Rotary.

 

Scott asked all to ensure they have Saturday, February 3^rd, in their calendars for the annual crab feed fundraiser. There was a special meeting held in early December with Bill Maston (event chair) and the board, where several Rotarians took crab feed assignments. Bill will be getting back to us regarding next steps. Heather shared that she had completed getting dues invoices out to all members. Anyone with questions on their invoice should contact Heather.

 

Nellie Meyer is the speaker chair for the month of January. She has some great programs lined up for January 9^th, 16^th, and the 23^rd. See the bulletin or club website for details. Scott said that he still needed a volunteer to take the month of April as speaker chair.

 

A quiz of 2023 trivia was held. Tom Myers won 1^st place; Thida Cornes (guest) won 2^nd place. Congratulations to Tom and Thida!
