Tom is a Senior Regional Vice President for Ohio National Financial Services, for the Tri-State Region, overseeing New Jersey, Delaware and Eastern PA. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and holds six securities licenses with FINRA. He is a Past President of the South Jersey Chapter of the Society of Financial Services Professionals and a Past President of the Southern New Jersey General Agents and Managers Association. Tom holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University in Business Administration, where he started a Rotaract Club.

Tom started his Rotary membership in the Runnemede-Bellmawr-Glendora Rotary Club in 1980. After moving to Cherry Hill in 1988, he later joined the Garden State Rotary of Cherry Hill. He served as President (2000-01) and was a host parent of a Rotary Youth Exchange Student. During his year as President he started two Interact Clubs. Tom was featured in the May, 2002 issue of the Rotarian Magazine, while participating in his club’s project in documenting the Indigenous People of the Rainforest in Belize. In March, 2014, Tom transferred his membership to the White Horse Rotary Club (Stratford-Lindenwold) and became their president in May, 2014. Tom hopes to revitalize the club with a major focus on membership and good programs.

Tom served as the Centennial Governor for District 7640 during 2004-05. He has attended five Rotary International Conventions, San Antonio, Texas; Brisbane, Australia; Chicago, Illinois; Los Angeles, CA and Birmingham, England. Tom is also a graduate of the Rotary Leadership Institute. Tom, his wife, Barbara, and son, Tom, Jr., are all Paul Harris Fellows. Tom & Barbara are also Major Donors. Tom and Barbara are Benefactors for the Rotary Foundation. Tom is the District ShelterBox Ambassador for his district.

Tom became the Team Leader for a NID Team in January, 2006, where he organized and led a team of 25 volunteers to immunize children in Agra, India in District 3110. District 7640’s team was one of three international teams that assisted in immunizing 75 million children on that date. In November, 2007, Tom led fifteen Rotarians comprising the South Jersey Team that immunized children in Abuja, Nigeria during their Immunization Plus Days (IPD). Tom led another team of 11 members to India in 2009 and led a team of 23 individuals to India in February, 2011. His most recent trip was to India in February 2014, where his team of 16 immunized more children.

Tom served as the Rotary District Foundation Chairman for District 7640 from July 1, 2006, until June, 2009. He visited Porto Alegre, Brazil, where he helped their district celebrate the successful conclusion to a major matching grant between their two districts for a mobile mammography bus.

He has been married to Barbara for 42 years and has one son, Thomas Jr., who works in the accounting profession. In April, 2008 Tom was awarded RI’s “Service Above Self” Award, Rotary International’s highest honor. In June 2014, Tom received TRF’s Citation for Meritorious Service, which was presented to him by RI President, Gary C. K. Huang.
