Jim Flamson

Jim Flamson first joined the Rotary Club of Calistoga in 1976, and served as Club President in 1999-2000.

At the District level, Jim was a District Club Coordinator for 2 years, followed by 3 years as an Assistant Governor, two of which he served as Chief Assistant Governor to Erna Stevens and Ken Moulton.

In 2010-2011, Jim served Rotary as District Governor.

His passion has always been The Rotary Foundation, serving as Club Foundation Chair for 6 years and now as District Rotary Foundation Chair for 2016-2019. Jim and his wife Kathy have travelled with Rotary on 7 Festival of Brotherhood's, where they saw first hand the good work that can be done when Rotarians and The Rotary Foundation pool their resources.

Jim currently is a CA Registered Tax Preparer, which he has practiced for 43 years. He sold his insurance agency in 2008 so that he could serve Rotary as District Governor.

Jim & Kathy have two adult sons and 4 grandchildren, all of whom are Paul Harris Fellows. One of is proudest moments in Rotary was when they were all presented their Paul Harris Fellows by current International Director Brad Howard at his 2011 District Conference in Reno.

My presentation to your Club will not be about fundraising, but rather a "state of the Foundation", updating some current information, opportunities and encouraging members to get involved in "spending the money available".
