2016 HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL

Rockaway Rotary began our celebration of Halloween by giving McDonald's gift cards to the students with the best costume in each classroom at Lincoln School in Rockaway Borough.....

...... and continued our Halloween celebration with our Halloween Festival!

FIGHTING HUNGER IN OUR COMMUNITIES

In our continuing effort to "Fight Hunger" in our communities, the Rotary Club of the Rockaways has been an avid supporter of the Rockaway Food Closet. The food closet has been a invaluable resource for those residents in need since 1984. It serves the needs of over 130 families in the Rockaway Borough and Rockaway Township communities. At our November 2, 2016 lunch meeting, Sheila Seifert, Club President, presented Food Closet Director Linda Kirby and Christine Zelinski a check for $2,500 representing proceeds from various club fundraisers.

At our November 2, 2016 lunch meeting, Rockaway Rotarians received an update from Christine Zelinsky concerning the Rockaway Food Closet which serves the needs of over 130 families in the Rockaway Borough and Township communities. The Rotary Club of the Rockaways is an ongoing supporter of this valuable family resource as we continue our efforts to fight hunger in our communities.

The President's and Foundation Ball is a yearly event where all clubs are encouraged to participate to support both the Foundation and to cheer and applaud their club's current President for all their work, effort and enthusiasm they exhibit throughout the year.
